In Search of Mr&Mrs Green (Tinca Tinca) 25 May 2013

Today was my first day in search of the tench. Not a warm start to the day,but went warmer as the day went on.I have 3 venues to choose from,i went to venue 2.The method would be maggot feeders,on one rod my favourite corn maggot rig,the other rod was worm @ maggot cocktail.I arrived at the lake and it was busy,i headed past the crowds and fished open water.I picked to far bank markers, clipped up one rod at 40 yards the other at 50.I used a middy inline and a modified middy maggot feeder just to fish little and often and getting some bait down. The inline middy was broke when i reeled in and the other modified middy had lost its cap.I changed over to the Drennan Inlines which are bigger and hold more maggot.I had made my mind up to stay with the corn maggot rig on one rod and change the other to suit.A guy further down had a tench to 5lb but no tench were coming out only bream to another angler.Throughout the day regular cating to the spots banked me nothing.I decided to fish closer in for the last hour. This made no difference ,so my first session was a blank.Till the nxt time,Tight Lines
