After blanking my last two sessions on the river I was back in a different spot hoping to get amongst some barbel. With the river levels still low I decided against feeders and opted for pva bags and paste on the lead and hook baits . I arrived at around 5pm .it was showing good temperatures throughout the evening so now it was time to get fishing . Casting every 20 minutes upstream and down stream it would be as the light went I was into my first chub to pellet . As fast as I put the fish back my boilie rod pulled to yet another chub . As darkness fell I was wondering if the barbel would turn up. I checked the temperature and it was 14 degrees really nice sat there . Midges were out and I paid the price getting bites . At 9pm my pellet rod pulled and you guessed it another chub . Just after I decided to pack up and head home . All the chub were around the 3lb ish mark .
Few photos from previous weekend and a couple from the night .snapped on my phone . I need a new card reader for my camera hence no self takes .
Till the next time .
