I’d been invited to fish a match with crescent anglers on Marsh Canal.I’ve only fished here once and how this place has changed as it was years ago .I drew peg 7 which I was glad because it was a decent flat peg , a lot of the pegs were poor .Tactics pole 13 metres and tip rod if needed . First mistake was not making rigs long enough for the far bank. I started on the jigger , tried everything in the swims and nothing .
One thing I didn’t like was the muddy looking water . I made a rig and was fishing .I managed one carp . I went on the tip , plenty of indications and finally another carp. This didn’t last long and I was back on the pole .managed a decent carp , put up a right scrap .
This was my view I couldn’t see anyone to my left . I went back on the tip again .
No more fish and the match was over , hard work .
