Perch 22-10-23

 I’ve really struggled this year to get out fishing as much as I want . I decided to go perch fishing  who doesn’t love a stripy.My method would be float rod and centre pin , bait lobworms and red maggots . I was torn between two swims and chose the one I knew capable of a lump .The swims are between 9-12 foot deep.I use a Polaris float in these situations , the float either lifts or dips .

It was a bright day at times, plenty of fish topping and the odd fish jumping from pike.At around 12 I decided to put another float rod out just a bit closer . The rod is a korum glide 11ft which was a gift , with matching centrepin . Same bait and same tactics. 

This fella was driving me mad , trie for my maggots , I gave him some of my sandwich 😄.By afternoon the sun disappeared and I had 3 successive bites on the new rod . 2 under a 1lb and a wasp.I packed up at 4-30 as I had to get stuff prepared for work , wish I could of stayed later .

Moss Farm 24-9-23

 Well this is probably the last match of the season for me .We fished April’s Field side .Not a great draw for me peg 7. Decided to fish 2 plus 2 on the pole , margin and far bank with small method and the bomb . Within the first 15 minutes I’d lost two carp to hook pulls on the feeder .I switched over to the pole and not a bite . Went back in the feeder and got snapped .

Back on the feeder I managed a skimmer then not long after a decent carp, thought things were gonna go well, but they didn’t and finished with 2 fish .
